About The Project

This Aurora based project had been on the mind of the home owner for a few years, but they were certain their yard was too small for their big wish list. During the initial consultation, the client asked the designer if a pool could fit, because they thought it wouldn’t. However, with a carefully placed pool, and its modified rectangular design, all of the clients other items on the wish list were perfectly placed. With assurance from the designer, we were able to convince this client that their space would actually feel much bigger than they expected, and give them all of the features they want — A low maintenance backyard equipped with a pool and multiple sitting areas.

Site Challenges

  • no space for pool equipment on side of house, so it was placed in the back yard beside the living area and blocked with a privacy wall
  • Small space and large wish list forced a clever design to achieve success
  • large metal privacy panels weighed 400 lbs each, and needed to be manually carried behind the pool and placed between the posts with precision
  • project completed just before winter so we needed to heat the area around the pool to install the liner properly
  • patio design took alot of precision with laying and cutting, then installing the turf
